🏆 ***Guild Housing Build Challenge: “Tiny World***”
Theme: Perception is everything. Use illusion to reshape scale!
Challenge Overview
A. Theme Description
• “Tiny World” challenges builders to creatively distort perception using scale illusions.
• Builders must use housing tools, furnishings, and illusion to make their build appear:
• Gigantic — as if the viewer is miniature in a massive world.
• OR
• Miniature — as if the viewer towers over a tiny, intricate world.
• Builders may choose either direction, but the illusion must be convincing.
B. Objective
• Create a housing build where the primary illusion makes the space feel vastly bigger or smaller than it actually is.
• Visual trickery, forced perspective, layering, and use of out-of-place objects are encouraged.
Build Requirements & Parameters
A. Scale Illusion Criteria
• Must use furnishings creatively to imply scale shifts (e.g., a tiny mug as a bathtub in a miniature world).
• Must anchor the illusion with at least one object from the real world that aids comparison (e.g., a normal-sized book next to a giant spoon).
• May use lighting and fog to enhance illusion depth.
B. Technical Parameters
• Platform: NA Server
• Build Limit: Up to 700 furnishing slots
• Homes Allowed:
• Limited to 1 primary home (no linking multiple houses)
• Add-ons/Tools: EHT (Essential Housing Tools) permitted for (examples of EHT are Crown Store Furnishings):
• Animation
• Visual FX (sparingly — must support illusion, not replace it)
C. Build Type Categories
Participants may optionally label their entry:
• “Macro Illusion” – Makes the viewer feel tiny
• “Micro Illusion” – Makes the viewer feel like a giant
D. Rules & Guidelines
1. No real size editing (e.g., hacks)
2. Build must remain static (illusion must persist from all reasonable viewing angles)
3. Only one submission per player
4. Builds must be accessible for judges and tours ONLY after the deadline
5. Submit with:
• Build name & category (Macro or Micro)
• Short description (200 words max)
